Nothing Gold Can Stay
Nothing Gold Can Stay
by: Robert Frost
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn sank down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
I love this poem! Simple language, but very powerful in meaning!
ReplyDeleteI had to read a lot of Robert Frost last year. As much as I don't like poetry, Frost is way more appealing than most.
ReplyDeleteRobert Frost is one of my favorites! I love his imagery so much!
